I've always heard wonderful things about the Clinique range from my mum, who always used to use their '3 Step' skincare range when she was younger, and was always a sucker for expensive facial goodies. So while searching for a better foundation, my first idea was to see what Clinique had to offer.

I was drawn to this product based on the fact that it's essentially an anti-bacterial foundation, that claims to prevent spots - in my eyes, a win/win! And I really, really, really, wanted to like this product as well, but I just couldn't. It only took me a day to realise that this foundation was not all it was cracked up to be, and I did try to power through with it, and actually force myself to love it, but it wasn't meant to be!

The colour match was great, and was one thing I was complimented on, so that's something that'll go on the pro's - but as far as pro's go, that's about all I have. I found that this foundation didn't have much staying power, and within a few hours it had separated and melted into my pores, making the foundation look as though it had been applied to my face with scrunched up toilet paper.

I also happened to notice that this foundation did oxidize slightly, and changed colour ever so slightly, leaving me with a slight orange tinge on my skin, which was unpleasant - this product claims to provide moderate coverage, which I guess it did, but was it worth £23? For me, no.

My product rating - 6/10
