My go-to hand creams...

Hand cream should be an essential part of anyone's beauty regimen; especially during this time of year when the weather is cold and blustery, and our skin is under constant attack by super drying central heating.
When winter leaves my hands dry and chapped, I swear by the following products to revive my parched skin....

L'Occitane Passionate Jasmine Shea Butter Hand Cream

I received this tube of wonder free with a magazine a few months back and, as you can see, I've pretty much used it all up - I rarely use up products like hand creams, so when I do, you can be sure they're good ones! I decided I'd definitely buy this again but, after looking on the L'Occitane website and not finding it anywhere, I recalled that this was part of a limited edition collection (cry). Most of L'Occitanes hand creams are enriched with Shea Butter though and it works wonders at restoring super dry hands - the creams are quite thick but they absorb really well and smell wonderful too, a must have! A 30ml 'travel size' tube will cost you £8.00 whereas a 75ml tube can be bought from £14.00.

Derma V10 Q10 Innovations Moisturising Hand & Nail Cream

If you're on a budget and want something that just gets the job done - then Derma V10 Q10 Innovations Hand Cream is what you're looking for. I discovered this hand cream at work, my boss always keeps a tube behind the bar for staff to use and, after spending an afternoon with my hands being washed over and over again (after changing a barrel, after having a cigarette, after spilling beer on my hands, etc etc...) I couldn't get my hands on this quick enough! What I was instantly hit by was how nice it smelt, for a really simple hand cream it has a lovely fresh scent. Secondly, I noticed that it's a really light textured lotion, that's quite runny so it sinks in quick enough - the only downside being that unless you're really careful, you're gonna end up dispensing too much onto your hands. It also does an absolutely fantastic job of relieving dry skin and instantly making your hands feel more comfortable, so when I noticed this on offer in my local Poundworld for '2 for 99p' I snatched them up! Now I notice this in most 'budget' stores, including Savers, so next time you're in town with an extra quid rolling around in your purse and nothing to spend it on, pick up a tube of Derma V10 Hand Cream, your skin will certainly thank you for it!
