I picked this up from Superdrug the other day after deciding to go back to using Maybelline foundations based on the fact that they're suitable for my sensitive skin. Before picking this one up I'd always reached for Dream Matte Mousse, but decided that for the sake of a little extra coverage I'd opt for a liquid equivalent.
I remember having used this in the past, but thought it was too thick so would use it to tint my moisturiser with, something it worked well for. But, giving it a second chance, I was looking forward to seeing how it performed compared to the last time I'd used it.
This air whipped foundation claims to have the 'lightness of a mousse in a liquid foundation' I would feel inclined to agree, although it feels slightly heavy, it's not at all liquid-y and is more solid than other liquid foundations I've used. The colour match is great, there are a huge choice of shades in the Maybelline range and I was able to find a shade that complimented my pale skin well - I use the same shade as I do in the Dream Matte Mousse which is 004; Light Porcelain.
The products blending capabilities are average and I find you have to pay extra attention to blending it into the hair line or you could be left with an orange seam, but once properly blended it gives an even finish and stays put over the day, bear in mind that I always set my foundation with a powder so I don't know how it'd perform without. This foundation also claims to give your skin a 'poreless finish', immediately after putting this on I can still identify my pores (and I have small pores) but throughout the day, once it has worn a bit it does definitely blur pores/imperfections.
A little bit of this does go a long way, so don't make the mistake of overcompensating and dispensing a huge amount onto your hand, or you'll likely be left with wastage.
For £7.99 I think you could definitely do a lot worse than this and I like this foundation more than enough to buy it again, keep doing what you're doing Maybelline, it's working!
My product rating - 8/10
