Recent beauty find - perfume

Every now and then I, like most of you, come across an item that makes me swoon and it's even better when the price also makes me swoon! A few weeks ago I took a trip to London for the first time (I know, 19 years old and I hadn't been to London), I was going for an interview at a fashion magazine so decided to make a day of it and spend the day looking around some of the sights, and hitting the shops. Towards the end of the day, I was in Zara when I noticed their perfume stand and came across a right gem!

Zara Femme was one of the first that I tried, after having been attracted to it by the pretty packaging, and despite trying pretty much every single other perfume that was available I just kept coming back to this one. I even left the shop to get a coffee, before deciding I just couldn't not buy it, so went back into the shop and handed over a mere £9.99 for it - under a tenner for 50ml of perfume, bargain! And the scent is just lovely, it's a really sweet floral scent, that isn't at all overpowering or sickly. For me, this is a really great buy, not just for the price, but for the amount you get, and it looks pretty on your dressing table to boot! (If you can forgive the wooden lid, which I find is too light and ends up looking a bit tacky)

The Body Shop - Neroli Jasmine eau de toilette

This is one of my absolute, all time favourite perfumes, but unfortunately it appears to have been discontinued - although I'm sure you'll still be able to find it online, which is why I've included it.

Luckily I've stocked up on this and have 2 bottles left at home to use up, but this perfume is one that I used to get a lot of compliments on. 

Sweet jasmine notes, with musky undertones make this perfume absolutely perfect for any time of the day and it's irresistible!

The Body Shop - Indian Night Jasmine eau de toilette

This perfume is one that has replaced the Neroli Jasmine above, and it's so, so similar that you'd hardly tell the difference. So if you're struggling to find any of the above, then pop into your local Body Shop store and pick this one up!

The same sweet and musky jasmine scent, although this one is ever so slightly sweeter. What I really like about this one is that it has a super pretty bottle (I'm a sucker for pretty packaging), so looks more eye catching - I have one bottle of this, and two bottles of the above perfume on my dressing table, so I won't be running out of any jasmine goodness soon!

Chanel - Coco Mademoiselle eau de parfum 

If you can afford to splash the cash a little bit, then opting for Chanel is an instant elegance boost. I'd always wanted to own a Chanel perfume, since I was a little girl but understood that at 10 years old, it'd probably have been a grand waste of 60 odd quid! But for my 16th Birthday, my mum took me perfume shopping, and I picked this one out - this is probably my all time favourite perfume, ever. This is a very 'young' perfume as it's not heavy, overpowering, or sickly at all. It's sweet, floral, and as Keira Knightly herself said "it's amazing how it can lift you, if you're feeling awful..." I couldn't agree more!

Dolce and Gabbana  - Pour Femme

Again, this perfume is reserved for those who aren't on a tight budget, because it's  by no means cheap! Infact, this is a perfume that I've been lusting after for months, but still can't quite justify throwing the money at, I'll have to wait until my next birthday! This one is more spicy than the others, definitely a bottle that's reserved for a hot date, or a night on the town. As this scent is very, very sexy I would feel inclined to say it'd be wasted for a day in the office, or for school/college. When you're parting with so much money, you need to make sure that you're gonna be using it at the right times and not just wasting it. When you next find yourself in a department store, hunt this one out and I defy anyone to not be overwhelmed by this beautiful fragrance.
